Due to re-organization in the club, a decision was made to not host a 5k event in 2013. We appreciate your support of our past events and hope to bring back the race next year.
We’re excited about next year, and hope that you will join us at Gardner Village in 2013 for our 4th annual 5k run! The Kiwanis of Midvale Fort Union is growing, and we hope that you choose to become a part of the programs and services we offer. Our club meets at the Midvale Mining Cafe in Midvale, Utah every other Tuesday at noon for our membership meetings. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join us!
Thanks to everyone who supported or came out for our 3rd Annual Kiwanis 5K Race today. It was a gorgeous morning and we hoped you had fun! Race results have been posted!
The race funds Kiwanis programs which recognize children’s positive behavior, growth in academics and help to develop leadership skills through service programs. All proceeds go towards our projects, including the Key Club programs at Hillcrest, Copper Hills, Bingham and Murray High Schools; Terrific Kids at Midvale Middle School and Riverview Junior High; the Hope of America Award presented to sixth grade students, and several other community projects that have a focus of helping children or their families.
We want to thank Hillcrest High School’s Key Club, who provided volunteer support for our race. They are an amazing group of students with some great ideas, who are always willing to help and bring really great energy to the race.
We have posted race pictures on our Facebook page – please check them out! You can visit our Facebook Page to view race pictures or to submit your own!
Thank you for being a part of our third annual Kiwanis 5k!
The 3rd Annual Kiwanis 5k will be hosted by Gardner Village, and takes place on Saturday, June 23rd along the Jordan River Trailway. The event is focused on raising money to fund Kiwanis programs.
The Kiwanis Club of Midvale/Ft Union has been serving families and children in Midvale City and the surrounding communities for over 70 years. Our organization is one of many Kiwanis Clubs located throughout the world. The Midvale club was organized in 1938, making it one of the first service clubs in Midvale City. We sponsor the Key Club Programs at Hillcrest, Copper Hills, Bingham and Murray High Schools; Terrific Kids programs at Midvale Middle School and Riverview Junior High, the Hope of America Award for sixth grade students at participating elementary schools, and several other community projects primarily focused on helping children and their families.
